Muscat, A trade delegation from the Republic of Sri

Lanka, visited today the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry

(OCCI) to discuss joint cooperation between businessmen and

business women in the Omani and Sri Lankan sides.

The delegation was received by Ridha bin Juma al- Saleh, OCCI

Board Member in the presence of the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the

Sultanate, and Ali bin Hamdan al- Ajmi, OCCI Board member and a

number of businessmen and business women in the Omani and Sri

Lankan sides.

Al- Saleh said in a welcome speech that such visits open new doors

for traders and investors and contribute to inform them of trade and

investment opportunities in both countries. He also pointed out that

the Sultanate has many laws and regulations that attract investment.

The Sri Lankan delegation showed a presentation on the most

important trade opportunities which it aspires to by visiting the

Sultanate, whether in bilateral meetings or investment opportunities in

the Republic of Sri Lanka. The opportunities included a number of

sectors and commercial products, including construction and design

engineering, construction materials, rubber products, sweets, milk,

biscuits, tea, coffee and other foodstuffs. A number of bilateral

meetings were also held during the meeting between the Omani and

Sri Lankan sides.
