Muscat, The Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Hospital succeeded to be promoted to the platinum level by Accreditation Canada, an organisation that approves standards of excellence in quality care and services of Canadian health institutions and hospitals. The SQU Hospital achieved 98% of the quality indicators for the services provided and comparing them against the standards approved by Accreditation Canada. The SQU Hospital is thus the first health institution in the Sultanate to get platinum accreditation.
The platinum level, which is higher than the golden level, is granted to health institutions that fulfil the standards which evaluate the efficiency of work at the health institutions through internal control, risk management and safer environment for patients and health staff.
