Sohar, Sohar University celebrated today the graduation of the second group of the 17th batch under the patronage of Ahmed bin Abdullah al- Shehi, Minister of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.
The ceremony was held on the open stage at the University campus in the presence of some honorable members of the State Council, members of Majlis A’Shura, officials of government and private institutions, in addition to parents. Professor Barry Win, Vice- Chancellor of Sohar University, said in a speech that the second group of the 17th batch comprised 1018 graduates (including 379 graduates from the College of Engineering, 269 graduates from the College of Language Studies, 370 graduates in College of Education and Arts) with various academic degrees, the Master, Bachelor, Advanced Diploma and Diploma.
The patron of the ceremony honored the graduates with the highest grades of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various disciplines. Then he handed over the certificates to the graduates of the second group of the 17th batch.
