United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Hamad Saeed Al-Shamsi, on Friday visited Tripoli and North Lebanon Chamber, and met with its Chairman Tawfiq Daboussi, in the presence of Chamber Vice President Ibrahim Fawaz and members of the Board of Directors.
Tripoli Port Director, Dr. Ahmed Tamer, former head of Tripoli municipality, Ahmad Qamareddine, and Businessman Ali Tleiss, were also present.
In his word, Ambassador Shamsi voiced his country's constant support to Lebanon in all circumstances.
"we are on the cusp of strengthening bilateral ties through the promotion of partnership between the public and private sectors ".
"We are in the process of further strengthening bilateral ties through the promotion of partnership between the public and private sectors," Ambassador Shamsi said, referring to the forthcoming UAE-Lebanese Investment Conference, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, under the guidance of the UAE leadership.
"The strength of bilateral relations is reflected in the UAE-Lebanese- Investment Conference to be taking place in Abu Dhabi on October 7, in the presence of six Lebanese ministers and the Governor of the Central Bank (BDL)," he said.
The Ambassador called on the Lebanese to guarantee foreign investment incentives, urging the Lebanese media "to refrain from giving a negative image of the current situation."
He regretted the current economic situation in Lebanon (...) in view of its importance for the Middle East, welcoming the role of the Lebanese Diaspora in the UAE.
