Muscat, The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented
by the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical Affairs and Drug Control
(DGPADC) and in collaboration with the Oman Pharmaceutical Society
(OPS) organized recently a seminar on the job opportunities in the
private pharmaceutical sector.
The seminar, which attended by Dr. Mohammed al-Rubai’ee,
DGPADC Director General, aimed to encourage the Omani pharmacists
and pharmacy students to seize the various and available opportunities
in the pharmacy field, as well as investing in this sector.
Dr. Al-Rubai’ee pointed out that this seminar is a good chance for
the young people to share their experiences in the labour market. He
also praised the OPS efforts and the pharmacists in the government
and private sectors.
Pharmacist Ibrahim Al-Rashdi, OPS Chairman stressed that the
focus is now in the private sector in order to be an attractive
environment for the pharmaceutical work through incentive and
working hours. He also added that the private sectors must be ready to
absorb the Omani pharmacists during the next phase.
