SAF Chief of Staff Receives UK Military Official

Muscat, Lt. Gen Ahmed bin Harith Al-Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’ today Admiral Sir Philip Jones, Chief of the Naval Staff in the United Kingdom (UK) and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.

Lt. Gen al-Nabhani welcomed the guest, who expressed his delight to visit the Sultanate.

The two sides reviewed the existing military relation between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them, as well as discussing several matters of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al- Ra’eesi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Brigadier Hamad bin Rashid al-Balushi, Assistant SAF Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, Commodore Shamis bin Mohammed al-Habsi, Assistant SAF Chief of Staff for Administration, a number of SAF senior officers and the British Military Attache at the UK Embassy in Muscat.
