Muscat, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison today the delegation of the Omani-Iranian Military Friendship Joint Committee headed by Brigadier Mohammed Ahadi.
The two sides reviewed several matters related to the work of the Omani-Iranian Military Friendship Joint Committee to better serve the armed forces of both countries. They also discussed several matters of mutual interest.
The Iranian delegation’s visit comes within the framework of participating in the 17th meeting of the Omani-Iranian Military Friendship Joint Committee, which is held from 3-5 October 2022.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Manthari, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operation and Planning, Head of the Omani side in the committee. It was also attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman, the Military Attaché at Oman’s embassy in Tehran and the Military Attaché at Iran’s embassy in Muscat.
