Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo will be almost

impossible for Real Madrid to replace, but the fact that four different

players have scored in the first two weeks of the new LaLiga Santander

season is encouraging.

With Ronaldo having averaged 50 goals per season during his

time at the club, there’s a need for other players to step up, and that’s

exactly what has been happening.

“The important thing is that goals are being scored, not who’s scoring

then,” Julen Lopetegui said after Sunday night’s match.

So far this league campaign, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema

both have two goals while Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal have one

each.

If there is one player expected to increase his goals tally more

than most then it’s Bale and he is doing exactly that with two strikes so

far, following on from an impressive pre-season.

Fortunately for him and for Real Madrid, he has an excellent

supporting cast.

Casemiro stated after the game that it’s important for Los Blancos to

play as a team this year, and they’re already doing that, the Spanish

MARCA newspaper reported.
