President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received Iranian Foreign Minister, Hussein Amir Abdul Lahian, today at the Presidential Palace.
The President informed Minister Abdul Lahian about Lebanon’s support for the efforts exerted by the Islamic Republic of Iran to enhance rapprochement between Iran and regional countries, especially Arab countries, through the existing dialogue. President Aoun also considered that such dialogue would bring view on disputed issues closer, praising Iran’s solidarity with Lebanon in facing crises, and the assistance it provided after the Beirut Port explosion.
Moreover, the President conveyed his greetings to his Iranian counterpart, President Ibrahim Raaisi, and the friendly Iranian people, wishing them continuous progress.
For his side, Minister Abdul Lahian had conveyed the greetings of the Iranian President, to President Aoun, and reiterated Iran’s firm support for Lebanon, in addition to his government’s readiness to provide all support for Lebanese needs, especially in the current difficult economic circumstances.
In addition, Minister Abdul Lahian presented to President Aoun, an overview of Iran’s position on regional and international developments, the atmospheres of the negotiations which Tehran is conducting with numerous Arab and Foreign countries, and current proposals for their improvement and development, as well as those related to the nuclear file
