Muscat, The Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI) organized a media meeting for the different media men, writers and social networking activists under the theme’ Towards Effective Media Partnership’ that achieves PASI general aims and enhances social insurance culture among society through the different media means.
The event aimed at promoting insurance culture and enhancing communication with media men and influencers. It also aimed at briefing media men on the services provided by PASI, as well as its existing and future strategic plans and programs.
Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah al- Farsi, Acting PASI official reviewed a number of important topics, such as the social insurance and its importance in societies through building insurance systems that are comprehensive and sustainable. He noted that PASI is very keen on applying governance standards in carrying out its mission and achieving its vision.
The media men then toured PASI premises which is part of the expansion in real estate investment. The premises include 8 residential buildings, a building for offices and retail shops and an administrative building for PASI. The residential building comprises 615 housing units that are provided with modern facilities.
On the sidelines of the media meeting, PASI signed an advertisement agreement with the rally driver Shihab bin Ahmed al- Habsi for promoting PASI Traffic Safety Competition. As per the agreement, al- Habsi will be PASI Ambassador for its traffic safety initiative. The competition is part of the social role played by PASI in the area of social protection. It is also part of its responsibilities towards insured and employers.
