Kiev, One person was killed and five were injured in Russian missile strikes targeting the central Ukrainian region of Cherkasy, Ukrainian officials have said.
Two missiles came down near the regional capital today, according to Ihor Taburez.
A video shared on social media showed a railway bridge across the Dnipro river apparently damaged by the strikes.
It was not possible to independently verify the footage.
Ukraine’s railway operator announced it was temporarily halting regional train services around Cherkasy.
