Muscat, In implementation of the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Sultanate today operated relief aid flights to the sisterly Republic of Sudan, which experienced insurmountable rainwater flooding.

The relief aid was airlifted onboard Royal Air Force of Oman military crafts, which took off towards their destination in succession this morning from Al-Musanaa Airbase.

The freight included basic human requirements and a variety of relief materials gathered in coordination with Omani Charitable Organisation.

The operation of such flights comes within the context of humanitarian assistance that the Sultanate of Oman extends to sisterly and friendly states during emergencies and exceptional conditions.
