Salalah, The 21st Annual National Conference

of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgeons of Oman (Omanorl 2018)

began at Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment

in Salalah today under the patronage of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan

al-Busaidi, Minister of State, Governor of Dhofar.

Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed al-Meshaikhi, Director General of

Health Services in the Governorate of Dhofar said in his speech during

the opening ceremony that Omanorl 2018 and the 11th Otolaryngology,

Head and Neck Symposium, to be held on the sidelines of the

conference, will both review the latest developments in the treatment of

ENT, head and neck diseases.

On the sidelines of the three-day conference, the Minister of

State and the Governor of Dhofar, inaugurated the accompanying

health exhibition for the sponsoring companies of the conference. The

exhibition contains the latest and most important medical equipment,

instruments and endoscopes used in otolaryngology.

Around 400 ENT specialists from the GCC, Arab countries, Asia,

Europe, America and Canada are attending the conference, as well as

100 speakers from within and outside the Sultanate.

Omanorl 2018 is organised by the Oman ENT Society, in

cooperation with the Directorate General of Health Services in the

Governorate of Dhofar, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Medical

Services in the Armed Forces and the Gulf ENT Society.
