Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will hold press conference in Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday to reveal the details of preparations to host the 2022 World Cup fans in Oman. The football fiesta will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
A number of official and private agencies will participate in the press conference to detail facilities that will be provided to the World Cup fans wishing to stay in the Sultanate of Oman.
The officials of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism; the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth; Royal Oman Police, Omran Group and Oman Airports are taking part in the conference
The press conference will also witness the presence of official representatives from Qatar, in order to reveal the procedures and facilities provided by the host country, which are of interest to all 2022 World Cup fans
A high-level delegation from Mexico visited Oman in August which to look into the possibility of hosting Mexican fans in Oman
They reviewed the arrangements Oman is making, including preparations to screen World Cup matches for fans at different locations on large screens, especially in Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, in addition to the availability of the hotel facilities.
Oman Air will operate 48 shuttle flights between Muscat and Doha from November 21 to December 3 for ticket holders to fly to Doha and return to Muscat on the same day.
Fares start from RO49 for Economy Class and RO 155 for Business Class. Fares include fees, taxes, airport charges and hand baggage allowance
