Muscat, Oman Post Company, one of the Asyad Group Companies, launched the international courier service to send parcels, items and urgent international documents to more than 220 destinations around the world.
It also allows beneficiaries to send or receive parcels of up to 25 kg with online cargo tracking feature.
Abdul Malik bin Abdul Karim Al Balushi, CEO of Oman Post said,” The focus is now on ensuring the continuity of postal and logistic services without any interruption. The team seeks daily to enhance and update existing services and offers new ones that meet the requirements of the customer throughout the Sultanate and listen to their comments in order to always provide them with a comfortable and smooth experience, especially during the current circumstances”.
He added that the launch of this service comes within the plan aimed at modernizing and developing the products and services of Oman Post, during which it strives to consolidate its position and strengthen the link between individuals and societies at the local and global levels.
On his turn, Ahmed Al-Amri, Director of the international courier service department in, Oman Post, said,” The international courier service witnessed a major transformation during the past year. 91 percent of the average post-delivery was dispatched on time, through the courier mail service in 2019, which represents an increase of 63 percent, compared to 2018. 96 percent of the post in this service was dispatched in the past months of 2020.”
