Oman Participates in International Conference on Combating Transnational Crimes

Cairo, The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Public Prosecution, participated in the International Conference on the Role of Public Prosecutions in Combating Transnational Crimes, held here under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt

The Omani delegation was headed by Nasr Khamis Al Sawai, the Public Prosecutor.

The conference touched on a number of topics, including the international and regional framework for combating transnational crime, means of international judicial cooperation, the role of relevant regional networks, best practices and challenges facing the investigation of transnational crime cases and ways to deal with and protect victims.

The attendees also discussed cooperation between public prosecution agencies and law enforcement bodies in detecting and investigating transnational crime cases.
