Oman LNG Finances Disabled Children Games Corner at Al Sahwa Gardens

Muscat, Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed al-

Mahrouqi, Director General of Planning and Studies at the Ministry of

Social Development and Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah al-Musin, CEO of

the Development Establishment at Oman LNG today signed an

agreement by which Oman LNG will donate RO 116,140 to finance the

construction of disabled children game corner at Al Sahwa Gardens.

The corner shall include games that suit the different types of

disabilities and autism.

The project aims at providing recreational facilities for disabled

children in a bid to enhance their feeling of citizenship and parity with

other children. The corner enhances inclusion of disabled children and

raise public awareness of the handicapped children issues.

The ‘external games corner for disabled children’ is part of ‘Loyal to

Society’ program, promoted by the ministry in cooperation with a

number of private sector organizations.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Yahya bin Badr al-

Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development and a

number of officials at the Ministry, Muscat Municipality and the

company.
