Oman, Lithuania Hold Political Talks

Vilnius, As part of his official visit to Lithuania, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held talks and political consultations with Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Lithuania.

The session affirmed the two countries keenness to enhance various aspects of cooperation, notably in economic, commercial, investment and cultural fields.

The talks, which also dealt with areas of transport, energy, science and technology, covered ways of achieving shared benefits and serving the peoples of the two countries by exploring new promising opportunities.

The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues of common concern and they asserted their identical, permanent stands that advocate the establishment of global peace, security, respect for the sovereignty of countries and their territorial integrity. They also laid emphasis on the principles of non-interference in the internal affairs of others and means of encouraging dialogue through peaceful means to accomplish peaceful solutions of disputes and realize stability in the world.

Sayyid Badr held meetings with top representatives of Lithuanian business firms operating in the fields of real estate, tourism, air services and logistic and information technology. The meetings showcased the investment opportunities available in in the Sultanate of Oman and potential areas of cooperation.

The meetings were attended by Khalid Hashel Al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, Honorary Consul of Oman in Lithuania Boleta Senkiene, and other officials.
