Oman and Trkiye Sign MoU to Boost Higher Education Cooperation.

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Trkiye have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in the higher education sector. This strategic agreement is expected to pave the way for significant developments in educational cooperation between the two nations.

According to Oman News Agency, the MoU encompasses a wide range of initiatives, including the exchange of scholarships and mutual accreditation of higher education institutions. It also facilitates knowledge transfer and the organization of training courses, seminars, symposiums, conferences, forums, and research studies. The agreement was formalized with the signatures of Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Oman, and Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education of Trkiye.

In addition to the signing of the MoU, both parties engaged in a session of talks. The discussions resulted in several recommendations, notably the proposal to increa
se scholarships and student exchanges between Oman and Trkiye. These recommendations are aimed at fostering stronger educational ties and promoting cultural and academic exchanges between the two countries.
