Jeddah, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, welcomed the presidential statement issued by the UN Security Council, condemning the attacks carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia on the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its civilian facilities.

"The stance confirms the special importance that the members of the Council attach to the Yemen crisis and also comes in recognition of the importance of solving the crisis politically to contain its negative repercussions resulting from the Houthi terrorist militia's rejection of ceasefire calls”, he said.

He said that lack of positive engagement in political negotiations conducive to into the return of security and stability of the Republic of Yemen, leads to further deterioration of the humanitarian situation of people resulting from the continuing practices of the Houthi militia in besieging cities and preventing humanitarian aid from reaching Yemeni areas in need".
