Muscat, In a press statement on the occasion of the International Labor Day, which falls on May 1st each year, Qais bin Mohammed al- Yousef, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) said that the Sultanate marks the International Labor Day at the time it has made many labor and syndicate achievements during the past period. It also enhanced the tripartite relations which reflected positively on the march of the comprehensive development under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.
‘The celebration provides the opportunity to achieve more progress in enhancing the tripartite relations and adopting common initiatives, especially those related to promoting governance and improving business environment in the Sultanate’, he added.
‘OCCI and private sector are looking forward for an active role by the General Federation of Oman Trade Union in streamlining the efforts that bring benefits to both labors and the national economy as well, he concluded.
