Muscat, The Military Technological College (MTC) organized here today Oman International Conference on Water Engineering and Management of Water Resources, under the auspices of Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and Chairman of the college’s Board of Directors.
The meeting saw the participation of 40 scholars and keynote speakers, as well as more than 200 participants from all over the world.
The event included various research papers, diverse experiences and scientific discussions.
In his speech, the Dean of MTC underscored the importance of organizing similar events and keeping pace with developments in the research field in accordance with Oman Vision 2040.
The chief guest toured the exhibition which was held on the sidelines of the conference. He viewed a demonstration by private sector companies, which presented their projects in the field of water resources.
Meanwhile, Eng. Ali Mohammed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Water Resources said that the conference is a great opportunity to discuss issues related to water resources in the regional and international levels. He added that he looks forward to see the recommendations of the conference implemented by departments concerned to contribute to solving the challenges facing water resources.
