Muscat, The Military Technological College
(MTC) today celebrated the graduation of the applied course for the
Royal Navy of Oman’s (RNO) technicians, held at the MTC today under
the patronage of Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al-Ra’eesi, RNO
Commander in the presence of Air Vice Marshal Mattar bin Ali al-
Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO),
Chairman of the MTC Board of Directors.
The ceremony began with a briefing on the course profile and
its theoretical and applied sciences.
The chief guest handed over awards to the distinguished
graduates and the certificates to the graduates. He honoured
personnel at the Guidance and Training Authority, who contributed to
the success of the course.
The RNO Commander, RAFO Commander and the attendees
were briefed on a number of projects prepared by the graduates. Then
they visited the training vessel “Shu’aa”.
This is first applied course, which is held at the MTC, started on 8
October 2017 and lasted about eight months. Thirty-eight technicians
were enrolled in the course, in the fields of mechanics, electricity, radar
and communications.
The event was attended by RNO senior officers and personnel
at the MTC Guidance and Training Authority.
