MOH Starts Returning Dialysis Patients to Dhofar

Muscat, The Ministry of Health (MOH) started today

returning a number of dialysis patients from the Governorate of Muscat

to the Governorate of Dhofar after the end of the climate conditions.

Dr. Rashid al-Badi, Head of Emergency Cases Center and

Coordinator of Medical Response and Public Health Sector said that

125 dialysis patients were shifted with their families in collaboration

with the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) to continue receiving their

treatment in the Wilayat of Salalah. The rest of the dialysis patients will

be returned back consecutively.

The hospitals of Sadah, Rakhyout and Dhalkhout, as well as Salalah

Al Jadidah Health Center will re-run starting from tomorrow.

The service in the Sultan Qaboos Hospital is back gradually, as well

as the Dialysis Unit was re-operated since Sunday. In addition, the

main services in the Hospital are ready to receive patients including the

Emergency Department (Adult & Child), admission wards and some of

the operation theatres. The outpatient clinics will resume work as of

tomorrow.

A total of (30) critical cases were shifted to a number of hospitals in

the Sultanate. These cases will be returned later after fully re-operate

the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, especially the ICUs.
