Muscat, The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented
by the Collaborative Center of World Health Organization (WHO) for
Quality and Patient Safety hosted today in cooperation with the WHO
Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO-EMRO) the
Experts Consultation Meeting on Preparing an Implementation Plan for
Quality and Safety during Adversity and Emergencies at Holiday Inn
Hotel.
The two-day meeting aims at developing an implementation
framework for quality and safety during adversity, reviewing the main
challenges and priorities of quality during emergencies, assessing the
initial results of the quality, and developing the main tools needed to
ensure the quality and safety of healthcare services in emergencies.
The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Qamra Al-Saririah,
MOH Director General of Quality Assurance Center and Dr. Rashid Al-
Abri, Director of the WHO Collaborative Center for Quality and Patient
Safety of the Ministry of Health.
More than 20 WHO-EMRO experts along with participants from the
Sultanate are attending the consultation meeting.
