Salalah, The Ministry of Health (MOH) has been
exerting sincere efforts in the Governorate of Dhofar Governorate to
resume work at the health institutions affected by the climate
conditions.
In this regard, Dr. Darwish bin Saif al-Maharbi, MOH Undersecretary
for Administrative & Financial Affairs visited the Governorate of Dhofar
and met the Director of the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah along
with Heads of Departments and Units. The Undersecretary was briefed
on the completed phases of work to repair the damages and the
rehabilitation plan for the affected Hospital’s units, departments and
facilities to provide the health services as soon as possible.
During the visit, Dr. al-Maharbi also met members of Emergency &
Health Crises Management Committee at the Governorate. The
meeting discussed the status of health institutions after the climate
condition and the means to restore the health services at the
evacuated health institutions, as well as counting the damages of
these institutions.
He also visited the Primary Healthcare Institutions in the Wilayats of
Salalah, Taqah, and Mirbat in a bid to reassure the health workers and
workflow, as well as to review the damages in these institutions during
the climate conditions.
Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed al-Mushaikhi, Director General of Dhofar
Health Services, Eng. Jamal bin Salim al-Shanfari, MOH Director
General of Engineering Affairs and a number of MOH senior officials
accompanied the Undersecretary.
