In reference to what is being circulated about the safe equipment to monitor the solar eclipse, the Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to clarify that the sunlight in the eclipse case is the same usual daily sunlight, which harms the eye and affects the retina if directly looking at it.

However, the eclipse phenomena attract many people to see it; the following equipment is being recommended to use it while looking at the solar eclipse;

Solar eclipse glasses for containing protective filter.

Solar eclipse telescope

Dark welding helmet

MOH does not recommend wearing the usual sunglasses as does not contain the protective filter.

Therefore, the MOH urges all citizens and residents to take the required information from the trusted sources and not deceived by rumors.
