Lebanon’s Ministry of Health on Monday announced in a statement the registration of the first monkeypox case in Lebanon.

The statement said that the infected person had arrived from abroad and had been quarantined ever since.

“His medical condition is stable, yet the ministry is tracking close contact cases,”the statement added.
