Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamiyeh, confirmed, in a tweet this evening, that “activating and rebuilding Beirut Port is a decision, not an option.”

“The port of Beirut, which brings together all the Lebanese, is also – and based on its new master plan – it will be an incubator for all the buildings of the ministries and concerned companies, especially in the fields of import and export, within a reform vision that works to increase revenues and fortify Lebanon’s sovereign decision,” he indicated.
