Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Hassan, held a meeting with his Qatari counterpart on the sidelines of his participation in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Conference on Food Security and Agricultural Development.

A statement distributed by the Minister of Agriculture's office said: "During the meeting, discussions touched on the agricultural file, export and import between Beirut and Doha, and ways to address any gaps that might hinder the flow of agricultural products."

"The strength of relations between the two countries and the need to formulate agreements in the field of agriculture for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples were also confirmed," the statement said.
