MIKATI MEETS WORLD BANK DELEGATION, DIRECTOR OF MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA OF GERMAN FOREIGN OFFICE, LAWMAKERS

Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday met at the Grand Serail with a delegation of the World Bank, chaired by the WB’s Regional Director of the Mashreq Department Jean-Christophe Carret, in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad.

Following the meeting, Caretaker Minister Fayyad said that discussions touched on the World Bank's projects in Lebanon, including energy projects.

PM-designate Mikati also met at the Grand Serail with the Director of Middle East and North Africa of the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Tobias Tunkel, in the presence of German Ambassador to Lebanon, Andreas Kindl.

On emerging, Tunkel said his meeting with the Premier was “very good” and an opportunity to present the bilateral relations between Germany and Lebanon.

Separately, Mikati met with "North Lebanon Deputies” Bloc, with whom he discussed an array of developmental and daily living affairs.
