Mauritanian President Receives Credentials of Sultanate Ambassador

Nouakchott, President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of

the Islamic Republic of Mauritania received at the Presidential Palace in

Nouakchott today Sheikh Saif bin Hilal al-Ma’amari, who presented his

credentials as the Sultanate’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed greetings of His

Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said to President Abdel Aziz. The

Ambassador expressed the Sultanate Government’s keenness to

enhance and develop the bilateral relations between the two friendly

countries to achieve the joint interests of the brotherly peoples. He

stressed that he will do his best to promote relations between the

Sultanate and Mauritania.

On his turn, the Mauritanian President asked the ambassador to

convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan,

wishing His Majesty a good health and happiness and the Omani

people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His


The Mauritanian President wished the ambassador success in his

tour of duties to contribute in developing the bilateral relations to

greater horizons on various spheres.
