Muscat, Majlis A’Shura will host Dr. Abdul Munim bin Mansour al- Hasni, Minister of Information during the 18th and 19th regular sessions of the third annual sitting
(2017-2018) of the 8th term (2015-2019) to discuss the Ministry statement next Sunday and Monday (April 29th &30th).
Sheikh Ali bin Nasser al- Mahrouqi, Secretary General of Majlis A’Shura said in a statement that the statement will focus on seven themes. The first theme will cover the status of the Omani media in terms of visions, aims, implementation mechanisms, challenges and aspirations.
While the second theme will cover the Ministry’s policies towards e-media, the third theme will highlight the training and rehabilitation of national cadres in 2017 and 2018.
The fourth theme will cover the role of Oman News Agency (ONA), Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising in implementing the media policy.
The sixth theme will highlight the private investments in media. The seventh and last theme will focus on the role of the Ministry in supporting civil society orgnaizations.
