Antananarivo, Madagascar, Voters in Madagascar
are heading to the polls today to cast their ballots in the run-off election
between former presidents Andre Rajuolina and Marc Ravalomanana.
President Andry Rajoelina ruled from 2009 to 2014 and won 39.39%
of the vote on November 7, followed by President Marc Ravalomanana
(2002-2009), who received 35.29%.
Madagascar held elections for a new president last month after a
protracted political crisis erupted last April when parliament passed a
new electoral law restricting campaign funding and access to the
media.
