London, In what were tough conditions at

Silverstone, Jorge Lorenzo achieved an impressive second pole

position of the season as Ducati bossed Q2 with Andrea Dovizioso also

coming in ahead of Johann Marco in third.

Proceedings were delayed from the start as the return of the

medical helicopter held things up as it had to take Tito Rabat to

hospital after an accident left him with suspected fractures to his right

leg.

Bradley Smith was in the lead early on, but first place changed

so regularly that it was hard to keep tabs on who was in front at times.

The Ducati pair did get themselves to the front before too

long and that is where they remained, eventually knocking home hero

Cal Crutchlow from the front row in his final lap.

Crutchlow will now start in fourth at his home GP while Marc Marquez

will begin in fifth after an impressive final lap from him, the Spanish

MARCA newspaper reported.
