Muscat, Atletico Madrid have seen their first-team
squad members suffer over 30 different injuries so far this season, with
Koke the latest name to be written onto the medical report.
The midfielder has a thigh issue and had to be substituted off during
last Saturday’s win away at Huesca.
“Koke has suffered a grade one muscle injury to the right thigh,” a
club statement reported on Tuesday. “He is pending clinical evolution.”
This absence means that Diego Simeone only has 10 first-team
outfielders available at the moment, as Stefan Savic, Filipe Luis, Saul,
Vitolo, Nikola Kalinic, Gelson Martins and Diego Costa all have injuries
and Angel Correa is suspended for the upcoming match against
Getafe, the MARCA reported.
