Sohar, Jusoor Foundation is implementing a

number of service and investment projects for the institutions and clubs

in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.

The construction works at the Drug Dependent Rehabilitation Center

in the Wilayat of Sohar, implemented in cooperation with Sohar

Municipality and the Ministry of Health, is going ahead as per the

timetable with delivery expected in the last quarter of this year. After

completing the construction works, the building will be handed over to

the Ministry of Health to make necessary preparations for opening and

starting operation.

The Center, which is the first of its kind in the Sultanate, is an

example the real partnership between the public and private sectors.

The cost of construction, RO 1.611 million, was funded by Orpic, Sohar

Aluminum and Vale Oman. The funding of the project is part of the

service projects implemented by Jusoor.

The construction works at the investment building of Majees Sports

Club, implemented by Jusoor Foundation which comprises Orpic,

Sohar Aluminum and Vale, is also going on. The project is part of the

CSR and sports subsidy programs by these companies in a bid to

ensure fixed income for these clubs through which they can fund their

sports, cultural, social and community service activities.

The project, which costs RO 200,000 and which is set up at Ghala

area in the Governorate of Muscat, comprises 14 shops. The project is

scheduled for delivery on next October.
