Gaza, The Israeli occupation forces prevented the
transfer of fuel and gas to the Gaza Strip until further notice in
response to the launching of flaming kites on its territory from the Gaza
Strip.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman was quoted by AFP as
saying that the action was in response to “continuing firing of the
flaming kites and the confrontations on the border between Israel and
Gaza”.
The decision is supposed to affect Gaza, which suffers mainly from
power cuts, especially in the hospitals.
Israel has tightened its blockade of Gaza for more than a decade by
banning the transfer of fuel to it in response to the launch of flaming
balloons and kites, which destroyed about 3,000 hectares of crops.
