Muscat, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received greetings on the 51st Glorious National Day from Sheikh Abdulamlik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.

Sheikh Abdulmalik expressed deep delight and pride over the achievements brought about in Oman since His Majesty the Sultan took the reins of power on 11 January 2020.

“We aspire for a more prosperous future, following the reforms that Your Majesty has made, including the issuance of a new Basic Law of the State setting mechanisms for the transfer of power and the appointment of a Crown Prince and the restructuring of government departments,” said Sheikh Abdulamlik, noting that the reforms seek to meet the demands of the future stage of development.

Sheikh Abdulmalik said that the 51st Glorious National Day is the anniversary of celebration of accomplishments made on the domestic front, as well as the country’s stature in the regional and international arenas as a member of the world community that is keen on empowering justice and advocating dialogue and tolerance.

In his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan, Sheikh Abdulamlik expressed admiration for the Royal directives to the government to go ahead with projects of the 10th Five Year Plan—the first step in Oman Vision 2040, as well as the Fiscal Balance Plan, the Economic Stimulus Plan and legislations to promote partnership between the government and private sectors.

The procedures, he said, place Oman on the right track for sustainable national development catering to the diversification of sources of income, the development of the labour market and recruitment climate and preparation of Oman—under themes of Renewed Renaissance—to address challenges and pursue nation building with firm resolve.
