Muscat, Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik today received a cable of greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Adha from Lt.Gen Said bin Ali al-Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service (ISS) reading as follows:


Your Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.  May the Almighty Allah protect you!

‫ I am honoured to extend to Your Majesty a message of greetings and heartfelt sentiments on the advent of Eid Al Adha, praying to the Almighty Allah to grant you good health, wellbeing and a long life.  We also pray to the Almighty Allah to enable Your Majesty to promote Oman to the highest status so that the Sultanate, under Your Majesty’s Royal patronage, sports the most marvelous manifestations of peace.

It has been the Almighty Allah’s providence that this notable occasion coincides with the passing of 200 days since Your Majesty has assumed the reins of power in this dear homeland, which, with your coronation, has been bedecked in splendor, nestled in security and tranquility and then marched forward in the paths of modernization under Your Majesty’s vigilant attention.  It is prime time we thanked the Almighty Allah for placing Oman, since antiquity, in the hands of most the magnificent of men, till its helm has been passed on to Your Majesty, as pure and as glorious as can be.

‫ The Almighty Allah has predestined Eid Al Adha as testimony to the values of sacrifice and self-denial, a precursor of purge from every dilemma and relief from every enigma.  Oman, God willing, will regain its full wellbeing and it will remain, under Your Majesty’s model approach, an oasis of peace and prosperity.

We, in your trustworthy Security Service, are honoured to salute Your Majesty on this occasion and to reiterate our vow of allegiance, pledging to remain truthful to our national duty; our wills will kindle and not dwindle; our quest is to meet your satisfaction and gain your Royal confidence.
