Muscat, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik today received a cable of greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Adha from Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh al-Manthri, Chairman of the State Council, reading as follows:

 

Your Majesty, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.

May the Almighty Allah protect you!

 

I am honoured to convey to Your Majesty, on behalf of myself and on behalf of honorable members and employees of the State Council, the most heartfelt greetings on the advent of the Eid Al Adha, wishing that this blessed occasion will find Your Majesty in good health and happiness, and that the Eid will dawn when Omani people and Islamic nation are enjoying plentiful bounties and blessings.

Praise be the Almighty Allah, the Sultanate has been, under Your Majesty’s wise leadership, the centre of attraction of the world due to the model of development devised by Your Majesty and your steadfast keenness to foster ties of amity with countries of the world, testimony to which is Your Majesty’s foreign policy, which aims at establishing regional and international peace to contribute to stability in the region and the world at large.

 

On the domestic front, Your Majesty has accorded Royal attention to Omani citizens, as well as residents in Oman’s land. Many insights can be derived from Your Majesty’s follow-up of efforts exerted by health workers, personnel of security and military services and all civil sectors.  Your Majesty’s directives constitute a program of work that heralds bounties and inspires resourcefulness.

 

Your Majesty,

On this hallowed occasion, we pray to the Almighty Allah to grant Your Majesty success, coupled with good health and a long life.  We pray that Oman be endowed with further progress in your blessed reign.

We also pray to the Almighty Allah to ameliorate the condition of Muslims and protect their countries and the rest of the globe against all harms, and we hope that prosperity will abound in the whole world.
