Haya Water’s CEO affirmed that the Company has made good
progress in the construction of the Sewage Treatment Water project in
Darsait and the operation phase is expected to begin in the third
quarter of the current year. The initiation requires great technical efforts
to be able to provide the service to various buildings in the area.
This came during a site visit made by the Company’s Leadership Team
to monitor the ongoing plant project and the Company’s existing assets
in the area.
The CEO also expressed appreciation to those working hard in the
area and for the great efforts in the completion of the project, praising
the remarkable progress witnessed in the various projects.
The new construction of a new STP in Darsait came in line with the
rapid development of the population, as the plant is designed with the
latest technologies to treat sewage and control odor. The plant has a
capacity of about 37 thousand cubic meters per day and will be
completed in July, he added.
He stated that after the operation of the sewage treatment plant, we
will also link the residential, commercial and governmental buildings in
the areas in Wadi Kabir, Ruwi and other areas that belong to the
Wilayat of Muttrah to the new plant.
