Hasbani: We hope the new government will not be based on circumstantial conditions

Deputy Prime Minister, Caretaker Public Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani hoped that the upcoming government would not be based on situational conditions but rather on sustainable indications.

“It is important that the government be effective, and this is what Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri is trying to achieve, for he is aware that we are in need of Cedar’s reforms to promote Lebanon,” he said.

Speaking in an interview with “Radio Orient” this morning, Hasbani deemed that “what happened recently regarding the formation of the government does not bode well, and credibility before the Lebanese people has been lost!”

He stressed on the Lebanese Forces Party’s “facilitator role” all throughout the government formation process, highlighting the need for all sides “to unite in a steadfast stand to break through the deadlock in Lebanon.”

“The most important thing is to keep the positive shuttle movement in place, but it must be translated into positive steps in order to reach safety shore,” Hasbani underscored.
