Munich, first controversial centers for the
compulsory return of rejected asylum seekers will be open in the state
of Bavaria in southern Germany later today after several disagreements
over the asylum policy that nearly toppled the government.
The centers were set up in the framework of Interior Minister Horst
Seehofer’s plan to reduce the number of asylum seekers in Germany
by speeding up the process of asylum and the deportation of those
whose applications are rejected.
