German Chancellor to Meet Leaders of Visegrad Group in Slovakia

Bratislava, The German Chancellor Angela Merkel

will hold talks later in the Slovak capital Bratislava with the prime

ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia on the

occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain.

The German government said ahead of the meeting, which will be

chaired by Slovakia, that the political transition in these countries,

known as the Visegrad group, “contributed significantly to make the

reunification of Germany goes on in peace.”

Merkel will hold talks with Slovak President Andrzej Kiska.
