Brussels, The Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, Sayyid Badr
bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi, met today in Brussels with Bruno Van der Pluijm,
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium.
During the meeting the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation and areas of
common interest, in particular with regard to the sectors of transport, ports,
telecommunications, tourism, industrial investment and the Blue economy, in addition to
addressing a number of training and education programs aimed at human resources and
skills development.
On the other hand, the two sides agreed to hold the next political consultations during the
current year in Muscat.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Nijim bin Sulaiman al- Abri, the
Sultanate’s Ambassador to Belgium and Head of its Mission to the European Union and
Abdul-Aziz ibn Mousa al-Kharousi from the Department of the Secretary-General Office and
from the Belgian side by a number of officials of the Belgian Foreign Ministry.
