Fin Fish Farming Project Agreement Worth RO 30m Signed

Muscat, The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources signed an usufruct agreement to establish a project for fin fish farming through floating cages in the Governorate of Muscat to the tune of RO 30 million.

The project, to be set up on a marine zone of 1.5 million metres, will be implemented during this year. It aims to farm various high quality fish that have an economic value.

The production capacity for the first phase of the project is expected to reach 3,000 tons through a floating cages system.

The project also includes logistic units that will be set up on an area of 7,548 square meters to serve diverse purposes.
