Minister of Environment Nasser Yassine, announced via his Twitter account that he has been following up since morning the extinguishing of the forest fire adjacent to the Matn highway with Defense Minister Maurice Selim and Civil Defense Director Brigadier Raymond Khattar.

The minister revealed that a number of volunteers headed to the site to reach the forest.
