Education Minister Chairs Emergency Meeting of Central Crisis Management Committee

Muscat, Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed al- Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, patronized over the emergency meeting of the Central Crisis Management Committee in the presence of Saud bin Salim al- Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Planning and Human Resources Development, to discuss the tropical situation that the Sultanate is expected to face in the coming days.

The meeting reviewed all the efforts of the concerned authorities in the ministry in dealing with this situation, in particular the status of schools, and the proposed alternatives at the time of the tropical situation, particularly with regard to the transfer tests for (5-11) classes, as well as the General Education Diploma During the coming week. The meeting took the necessary measures to be announced in a timely manner as the tropical situation develops.

In this regard, the Minister of Education stressed the continuation of this committee to follow up all possible developments and deal with them at firsthand, and take appropriate decisions in a timely manner to the benefit of the students. She added that all updates will be posted through the official websites of the Ministry and in social networking sites.
