California, The death toll from the campfire in
northern California has risen to 42, making it the deadliest fire in state
history since record-keeping began.
Three people were found dead and only three of the 42 victims
were identified, provincial police chief Corrie Honia said at a
conference.
Authorities are bringing in additional resources, he said, efforts are
under way to find a quick system to identify victims through DNA
testing.
